No more fake unfollowers

  • FixedIf Instagram keeps failing partway through a capture, the capture now stops with an error instead of saving an incomplete snapshot that made real followers show up as unfollowers.
  • FixedSomeone who changes their username no longer shows up as an unfollow plus a new follower. This works between snapshots taken with v1.2.9 or later.
  • ImprovedCapturing your own account no longer needs a profile lookup, so it's less likely to be rate-limited.

Correct follower totals

  • Fixedv1.2.7 could show outdated totals (for example 1444 following when the profile says 1,342). Totals now come only from the counts shown on the profile.
  • FixedA capture no longer stops early when it reaches the total; it keeps going while Instagram has more to send, so no followers are left out.

Follower totals and retries are back

  • FixedCaptures show how far along they are again ("1,234/5,678"). Since v1.2.6 the extension read the profile before Instagram had shown its follower count, so the total went missing.
  • FixedWhen Instagram cuts a list short, the capture cools down and retries again instead of saving an incomplete snapshot.
  • ImprovedFollower counts are read correctly whatever language Instagram is in, and when the profile shows abbreviated numbers like "12.3K".

Captures work again

  • FixedCaptures got stuck on "Looking up @… retrying" because Instagram rate-limits its profile lookup. The extension now reads the account straight from the profile page it opens, without an extra request.
  • FixedThe popup no longer stays stuck on an old capture after the extension is updated or reloaded mid-capture.
  • ImprovedRetry messages say why Instagram refused, and rate limits get a longer cool-down instead of quick retries that make it worse.
